Mitsubishi Motors Relocating U.S. Headquarters to Tennessee

Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) plans to relocate its headquarters from Cypress, CA, to Franklin, TN, a suburb 20 miles south of Nashville. The move will begin in August, and is expected to be completed by the end of this year. MMNA has been based in California since 1988.

“The company chose Franklin as its new home because it allows MMNA to focus its efforts on company-wide reinvention and take advantage of the area’s vibrant technology skillset, all while realizing cost savings through the business-friendly work environment and proximity to sister company, Nissan,” the company said in a press release.

All corporate departments, which includes nearly 200 positions, will be relocating as part of the move. MMNA will be transferring operations to a temporary office in Franklin, and Mitch Lundquist and Scott Wetzel of JLL have been selected to identify a permanent office for the car manufacturer.
