Mission Hill Buy of Dual-Branded Hotels in Waltham Expands Roster to 18

Mission Hill Hospitality has acquired the Residence Inn and Fairfield Inn & Suites Boston Waltham in MA. Island Hospitality will operate the hotels on behalf of Mission Hill Hospitality.

The Boston-area acquisitions are the 17th and 18th hotels added to the Mission Hill Hospitality portfolio (five properties in MA and nine throughout New England) since the company was launched 12 months ago.

The five-story, 192-key Residence Inn and Fairfield Inn & Suites Boston Waltham was built in 2018 as a single-building, dual-branded hotel featuring lobby and bar, indoor pool and newest extended-stay guestrooms in the market. The hotels are located at 250 Second Avenue, highly visible from I-95/Rt 128 and close to plentiful dining and entertainment options. Waltham is a top corporate market for bioscience and technology, featuring more than 23 million square feet of office and lab space with vacancy rates below 10%.

About Lisa McDuffie

Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
