Mission Bay Marriott Plans Solidify

SOMA Hotel LLC has received preliminary approval to build a 250-room hotel in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood under the banner of Marriott.

The Mission Bay Marriott, scheduled for completion in next year’s second quarter, will be at the corner of Third and Channel streets. The hotel will feature a 700-square-foot ground-floor “community living room”, as well as a rooftop bar and cafe. There will also be 10,000 square feet of meeting space at the 15-story structure.

The Mission Bay Marriott will be the first new luxury hotel in San Francisco since 2008. The hotel is part of the mixed-use Block 1 project being developed by Strada.
