Mimco Buys 178K-SF Montwood Mall

El Paso shopping center developer Mimco Inc. acquired the 178,453-square-foot Montwood Mall on the city’s east side. Noddle Cos. of Omaha, NE sold the center, which is anchored by a recently-remodeled Albertsons grocery store and the Premiere Cinema Montwood Movies 7 El Paso theater.

The sales price for the property at 2200 N. Yarbrough Dr. was undisclosed. Marcus & Millichap, which represented the seller, listed a $14.9 million asking price. The El Paso Central Appraisal District assessed it at $7.9 million.

Montwood Mall delivered in the mid-1950s, and had several renovations over the years. Mimco noted that most of the center is currently leased, with 5,000 to 8,000 square feet available. Other tenants include Ace Hardware, Family Dollar, Fallas Parades, and Great American Steak Burger.
