Million-Plus Square Foot Logistics Park Slated for Texas Innovation Corridor
The corridor runs from Austin to San Antonio and includes cities in the middle such as New Braunfels and San Marcos. Alliance Industrial will head up the construction effort on five industrial facilities to be built in Kyle. The speculative space development will include buildings ranging in size from 140,000 square feet to 475,000 square feet. The buildings are being designed for single and multiple tenants and can accommodate users that require anywhere from 40,000 to 1.4 million square feet.
The deal got done with the help of some local government incentives. Hays County agreed to property tax abatements with an estimated value of $3.4 million, capped at 75% over a 10-year period. In addition the City of Kyle included a tax rebate of 75% for ten years, not to exceed $4.9 million. The project is slated to cost $115 million in capital investment and bring in about 1.500 jobs.
