Mill Creek Updates Plan for Proposed Hollywood MXU

Dallas-based Mill Creek Residential Trust’s draft EIR for Modera Argyle, a 276-unit multifamily development in Hollywood, has been released. The updated plan for the mixed-use project by architects Togawa Smith Martin reveals a contemporary seven-story building on a 1.1-acre site at 1546 N. Argyle Ave. and 6224 W. Selma Ave.

The design includes community open spaces as well as a podium-level courtyard with a swimming pool, and an upper-level terrace deck. The project is proposed for a mix of studio, one, and two-bedroom apartments, up to 24,000 square feet of ground-floor mix of retail and restaurant space, and 412 basement parking spaces. Alternatively, the street level could accommodate a 27,000-square-foot grocery store.

The site formerly housed Ametron Electronics and 1546 Argyle Ave. The 30-month construction schedule is anticipated to wrap up in 2023, similar to an initial plan in 2017.
