Mill Creek to Build 271 Built-to-Rent Units in Celina, Texas
This latest project is one of many slated for the town about 40 minutes north of Dallas. Besides the Mill Creek project, about 1,300 multifamily units are under construction within five miles from downtown Celina.
Mill Creek will offer a combination of cottages, townhomes and single-family units to rent on 40 acres. They’ll be adding a 3,000 square foot clubhouse, swimming pool, fitness center and more than a mile of hiking trails. The project will be called Amavi Celina.
Celina’s population doubled between 2010 and 2020 to 16,739. The City estimates that the town has passed 20,000 since the 2020 figures were released.
Mill Creek has three Texas projects underway and thinks the built-to-rent market is ready to grow, “We have several Amavi communities in the works, approaching 10 and will continue to pursue opportunities as we cultivate the single-family, build-to-rent brand,” says Mill Creek’s Aubrey Gym.
