Mill Creek Residential Moves Dirt on 325-Unit Multifamily in DC’s H Street Corridor

Boca Raton, FL-based Mill Creek Residential — a developer, owner-operator and investment manager specializing in premier rental housing — has broken ground on Modera H Street, an apartment community located on the east end of Washington, DC’s H Street Corridor.

Modera H Street will feature 325 homes and unimpeded views of Downtown DC and the Capitol from its spot along the DC Streetcar above-ground trolley system. Two grocery stores, ALDI and Safeway are adjacent to the community, and another four are within a 10-minute walk. The site is less than 1.5 miles from Union Station, D.C.’s major train station and transportation hub.

Modera H Street will be built to meet LEED Silver standards and include a rooftop deck, outdoor swimming pool, fire pit, grilling area, landscaped courtyards, resident clubhouse, coffee bar and a fitness center with separate yoga studio.

About Lisa McDuffie

Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
