MileStone Community Builders shared plans for a potential mixed-use development on a site known as the Bailey Tract in Buda, TX. The Austin-based builder dubbed the 179-acre project Persimmon, which would include single-family homes, office space, apartments and green space.

The land in question is northeast of FM 967, and to the east of the Coves of Cimarron subdivision. It is situated within Buda’s extraterritorial jurisdiction, and extends north into the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Travis County and the city of Austin. According to the term sheet recently presented before the Buda City Council, the commercial component will run between 10 acres and 14 acres.

MileStone is also developing the 75-acre Grove at Shoal Creek, a mixed-use development in central Austin.
