Midtown Offices Will Convert from Lease to Condo Format
Rudder Property Group (RPG) said Tuesday that 32 W. 39th St., a 16-story, 87,072 square-foot office building one block south of Bryant Park and adjacent to Amazon’s new local headquarters, will be converted to office condominiums for sale. RPG, which specializes in sales of office condos, has been retained by ownership as the sales and marketing team.
When sales launch in the second quarter, full-floor units measuring 3,970 to 8,371 square feet can be purchased individually or combined for a single office totaling up to 70,000 square feet. The conversion of this circa-1925 property represents an opportunity to own a full-floor or multi-floor office condo in a prime Midtown location.
“Following Amazon’s purchase of the former Lord & Taylor building for use as its new headquarters, the area has seen a lot of interest from major office tenants,” said Michael Rudder, principal of RPG.
