San Jose’s Largest Manufacturing Site MidPoint@237 Breaks Ground

In a joint venture, Trammel Crow Co. and Principal Real Estate Investors are developing MidPoint@237, a state-of-the-art North San Jose project with three Class A manufacturing spaces and four Class A/R&D Office buildings. Currently, this is the only available advanced manufacturing site of this scale in Silicon Valley.

MidPoint@237 will total one-million square feet in a unique and central location, occupying space with easy access to both the San Francisco Peninsula and the leading Port of Oakland. The first 400,000 square feet is scheduled to begin construction in the first quarter of next year, while the remaining 600,000 square feet of manufacturing space is expected for completion by the end of next year.

Mike Benson, an executive managing director at Principal, said that technology manufacturing is needed in the area. Rob Shannon and Chip Sutherland, both at CBRE, are marketing the office/research and development properties.
