Middleburg Communities Acquires Land in VA to Build Multifamily Community

Middleburg Communities, an investment firm based in Vienna, VA, has acquired a 13.48-acre land parcel in Glen Allen, VA., with plans to build a 310-unit, class-A apartment and rental townhome community named “The Brook”. Truist Bank provided the financing. The Brook will be developed as a joint venture between Middleburg and The Resmark Companies as an investment partner.

“Northern Richmond has been underserved for two decades now, and the pace of development has lagged the growth the area has experienced during this time,” said Selim Tay-Agbozo, president of Middleburg Development. “As such, there is a tremendous need for the type of product we plan to build.”

Located at 9002 Brook Road, construction of The Brook is scheduled to begin in April. It is the second multifamily community Middleburg development in the Richmond MSA after Hamlet Watkins Centre, a build-to-rent community in Midlothian with 283 homes.
