Mid-America Closes Sale of 100% Leased Retail on Far South Side
Mid-America Real Estate Corporation’s Investment Sales Group recently brokered the sale of Shops of Beverly, a 100% leased service-oriented shopping center located within the Evergreen Park subregional trade area in the Beverly neighborhood on Chicago’s Far South Side.
The 21,571-square-foot property was sold to a private buyer for an undisclosed sum. Principal Rick Drogosz and VP Emily Gadomski were the exclusive brokers in the transaction on behalf of the seller, Sperry Equities.
Shops of Beverly houses a strong lineup of service, medical, and restaurant tenants, which includes national credit tenants Chipotle and Chase Bank. These two tenants and For Eyes have been operating at the shopping center since 2004.
The shopping center also features extremely dense residential demographics. Within a three-mile radius of the center there are 220,000 residents with an average household income of $83,100, according to Mid-America.
