Microsoft Renews Bellevue Office Lease for Subsidiary

Microsoft has renewed an office lease in downtown Bellevue at Lincoln Square North for the company’s LinkedIn subsidiary.

The space totals about 44,700 square feet, according to a report released this month by Cushman & Wakefield. The renewal keeps a small local footprint for Microsoft, which acquired the Sunnyvale-based platform in 2016 and has since consolidated most regional operations to its $5 billion Redmond headquarters renovation, reported the Puget Sound Business Journal.

The LinkedIn space is now Microsoft’s last major presence in Bellevue, after shedding roughly 2.7 million square feet since 2023. TikTok has taken over much of the vacated space at Lincoln Square North, while OpenAI and Wells Fargo have filled former Microsoft offices at City Center Plaza. The company’s expired Bravern lease this summer added 750,000 square feet to Bellevue’s office market, pushing vacancy to 22.8%.
