Microsoft Renews 396K SF of Office Space at Redmond Town Center
Microsoft has renewed its 396,228 square feet of space at Redmond Town Center, a mixed-use hub in downtown Redmond, Washington.
The move gives the tech giant more long-term space near its headquarters in Redmond, as the company’s 53,000 local employees prepare to adhere to a stricter attendance policy, reported the Puget Sound Business Journal. Microsoft had announced it would be bringing employees back to the office at least three days a week starting next month.
In a company memo, the company stated that Puget Sound-area employees will be expected to follow the new policy, including those located outside of Washington, who will also phase into the revised schedule.
It’s a reversal for Microsoft, which has slowly shed 2.7 million square feet of space on the Eastside as it expands its $5 billion headquarters. Microsoft occupies four of the six buildings in the 582,375-square-foot office portion of Redmond Town Center.
