Microsoft Announces New Jobs in North Texas Operations Center
Microsoft Corp. is planning to add to its operations in Irving, TX, a suburb of Dallas. To that end, the technology giant is planning to create 575 new jobs and invest more than $31 million in capital at its center, located on SH 161. Furthermore, Microsoft has obtained a $4.8-million grant from the Texas Enterprise Fund to aid in its growth.
The company opened its 32-acre, 436,000-square-foot campus in 2001, with most of the on-site operations consisting of regional sales, service and customer support.
“Microsoft has been in Texas for more than two decades. We have a robust workforce here already and we are excited to continue growing that – expanding our talent base and opportunities in North Texas,” Microsoft Las Colinas/Irving Campus Director Raamel Mitchell said.
