Miami Developer Prepares for Flying Cars

In 2017, Uber and NASA agreed to a partnership to develop Uber Elevate, a fleet of flying taxis. Now, real estate developers are taking these innovations into consideration during the design phase of their properties.

Real estate developer Dan Kodsi is readying Miami-Dade for flying cars, as he believes they will take off within the next decade. At the top of Paramount Miami Worldcenter, a luxury 60-story residential tower, he is modifying the rooftop to create a 5,000-square-foot skyport.

Slated for completion in 2019, Parmount Miami Worldcenter includes more than 500 units, and will feature an indoor basketball court, boxing studio, rooftop observatory, outdoor soccer field, along with additional amenities. Kodsi says, “One day, Paramount Miami Worldcenter residents could seamlessly ride a sleek glass elevator up to the luxury tower’s private rooftop, where they could be picked up or dropped off by on-demand aircraft.”
