MetroNational Continues Plans for 18-Acre MXU
Houston-based MetroNational unveiled plans for continued development of an 18-acre tract at Gessner and the Katy Freeway, across from the developer’s Memorial City Mall. The West Houston mixed-use development, which already includes the 240,000-square-foot 10100 Katy Freeway, will offer restaurants, Class A office space and a hotel.
On the restaurant side, Kirby Ice House will open its second restaurant in the development, and will build a 7,000-square-foot patio bar, that will serve beer, cocktails and wine. Also on hand will be Mia’s Table (5,830 square feet) and Torchy’s Tacos (4,550 square feet). Edge Realty Partners’ Josh Jacobs and Brooks Shanklin represented MetroNational in the restaurant deals; Jamie Weaver, also with Edge Realty, advised Mia’s Table and Torchy’s Tacos.
Meanwhile, McGriff, Seibels & Williams Inc. leased 69,448 square feet at 10100 Katy Freeway. MetroNational’s Brad MacDougall represented the landlord, while Lucian Bukowski and William Padon with CBRE represented the tenant.
