Methodist Health Nabs 67 Acres for Midlothian Hospital

Methodist Health System acquired 67 acres on which it will build a new, 190,000-square-foot, full-service acute-care hospital in Midlothian, TX. Jerry and Steve Massey sold the acreage, which is west of U.S. 287 and south of Main Street, near the Midlothian Independent School District’s multi-purpose stadium.

Kyle Libby and Michael Collins of MedCore Partners represented Methodist Health System in the land deal. Joe Rust of the Joe Rust Co. negotiated on behalf of the seller.

The health system anticipates beginning construction on the office and adjacent 45,000-square-foot medical building in late 2018. Completion for the 44-bed facility is anticipated for 2020.
