Meta Renews Leases for Two Buildings in Redmond

Meta Platforms Inc. is renewing leases for two buildings at the Willow Creek Corporate Center in Redmond, Washington.

The leases total about 146,000 square feet, reported the Puget Sound Business Journal, citing the recent first quarter Puget Sound office market report by CBRE. Much of the company’s work at the two buildings is focused on Reality Labs, the business and research unit of Meta Platforms that produces virtual reality and augmented reality hardware and software.

The renewals come as Meta restructures its Reality Labs division. Meta is the third-largest tech employer in the Puget Sound region with 8,000 employees, and the third-largest office occupier with 2.3 million square feet.

According to the CBRE report, an undisclosed tenant had renewed leases at the corporate center’s A and G buildings at 10545 and 10525 Willows Road NE, respectively. Public records indicate Meta was the tenant.
