Facebook’s parent company Meta is taking up more real estate space in Manhattan, giving the office market a much needed boost as the sector struggles post COVID.

Bloomberg News says that Meta is leasing 300,000 sf of additional space at 770 Broadway in the East Village. Meta already has space in the building that the social networking firm has occupied for some time. 

The NY Post said the company will occupy space that was vacated earlier by Verizon Media, which is now rebranded as Yahoo and as it does, like so many other firms, move to a hybrid office/home work model and is giving up space as a result.
