Mesquite Lands $100M Energy Storage Manufacturing Plant

Energy Storage manufacturer Hithium Tech USA Inc. has plans for a new battery module and system assembly facility with an annual capacity of 10 GWh in Mesquite, Texas. Hithium is investing $100 million into the 483,874-square-foot facilities, which is anticipated to add 141 manufacturing jobs to the City of Mesquite in 5 years.

Hithium specializes in battery energy storage systems (BESS). Its stationary energy storage products are designed for utility-scale as well as commercial and industrial applications.

Hithium will be the first industrial company in the new 20 East Trinity Pointe business park. Phase I of the business park encompasses the development of 192 acres, accommodating three buildings with a combined warehouse space of 1.8 million square feet. Phase two of the project includes a planned speculative three-building layout with 1.6 million square feet on 92 acres or build-to-suit opportunities.

Developed and owned by Stream Realty Partners, 20 East will also be leased and managed by the firm.
