Hexagon Purus spending $12M on Mesquite factory revamp

Mesquite EV Supplier Gearing Up for $12M Upgrade

Hexagon Purus ASA signed a 10-year lease at Landmark at the Meadows, a two-building industrial park in Mesquite. The company says it will employ 250 people at the facility, where it can outfit trucks with the technology to run off electricity.

The Hexagon Purus space is slated to span 216,000 square feet. Construction, estimated to cost $12 million, is scheduled to begin in April and wrap up in August.

The Dallas Business Journal reports the building will expand Hexagon Purus’ capacity and allow it to deliver on contracts with Hino Motors Sales USA and with an undisclosed North American manufacturer. The company signed a distribution agreement in March 2023 with Hino to work together on battery-powered heavy-duty trucks. Hexagon expects to deliver up to 10,000 trucks by 2030.

The deal could be worth up to $2 billion.

The park’s owner, Landmark Companies, designs, develops and builds multifamily and industrial assets in Texas, Florida and Colorado.

There’s still time to register for the Connect Industrial Midwest 2024 event on March 5 at Joe’s Live in Rosemont, Illinois. Click here for more information and to sign up.
