Mesa Land Auction Guaranteed to Interest Bidders
Public land auctions in Arizona typically get a lot of buzz. The Mack Real Estate Group’s winning bid on an Arizona State Land parcel adjacent to the TSCM plant in North Phoenix received national attention.
Maricopa County is auctioning off the land in Mesa next door to the Chicago Cubs spring training facilities that formerly housed an animal shelter ran by Maricopa County Animal Care and Control.
The 3.11 acre parcel has been appraised for $4.75 million, which will serve as the minimum bid.
Located at 2630 W. Rio Salado Parkway the parcel is zoned as general commercial. The appraisal the county published on the land said the “highest and best use” for the property would be multifamily housing.
The auction will be held on Nov. 13, at 10 a.m. at Maricopa County’s Flood Control District Administration building located at 2801 W. Durango Street in Phoenix. To be an eligible bidder, an interested party must bring a cashier’s check in the amount of $478,550 made out to Maricopa County.
