Mesa Expected to Okay $3B Legacy Park Project
The Mesa City Council is expected to move ahead Monday on a $3 billion venture that will include hospitality, apartments, office and restaurant offerings.
Vestar will be helming the project. Dubbed Legacy Park, The Phoenix Business Journal reports the project should be ready to break ground in January 2028 on public infrastructure, public amenities and traffic improvements and to start vertical construction in June 2028, with a grand opening for the first phase in October 2029. At full buildout, Legacy Park would include:
- 400,000 square feet of restaurant, retail and fitness space
- a luxury resort with 600 rooms
- 3.8 million square feet of Class A office and corporate campus space
- 2,261 multifamily units
- a boutique hotel with 150 rooms
- 2,245 structured parking spaces
- a 20-acre urban park with a 10-acre activity lake for kayaking and paddleboarding.
