Mesa Airfield Phase II Improvements Underway

Davcon Aviation is fully involved in Phase II of its $70 million improvement package at Falcon Field in Mesa. The Phoenix Business Journal reports the new complex is expected to add 12 additional hangars totaling 170,000 square feet and office space. Falcon Field is located south of East McDowell Road and east of N Greenfield Road.

The corporate aviation hangars will include office space. One in particular, which covers two stories and has about 20,000 square feet of class-A office space, could be used as a helicopter hangar.

The final phase is expected to be completed in about two years.

Phase one included about 400,000 square feet of hangar space. Tenants include Avflight Mesa, Paradise Jets, California Aeronautical University, Banner Air, Van Horn Aviation and Real Hanson.

About 82% of phase one’s 34 hangars are leased. The first phase of the project, which totaled $74 million and 30 acres, was completed about a year and a half ago.
