Merritt Building $58M San Antonio Residence Inn
Merritt Development, along with Peachtree Group has received a construction loan and approval from the local Historic and Design Review Commission to move forward on building a Residence Inn by Marriott at 100 N. Main. The $58 million project will rise 10 stories and include 171 rooms. Fifth Third Bank secured a $24.7 million construction loan. BGKT Architects is the design firm attached to the project.
Construction is expected to wrap up in 2026.
Merritt is working on a similar project minutes north of downtown, hoping to place a Residence Inn hotel in the Government Hill neighborhood with Phoenix Development Partners. A preliminary plan review for that project is currently being conducted with the city.
Merritt Development Group is a privately owned merchant hotel development company specializing in the development of urban hotels typically affiliated with Hilton and Marriott throughout the United States.
