Merrimac Ventures Begins Construction on $90M Multifamily Development

Merrimac Ventures broke ground Tuesday on Merrimac Plantation, a new 306-unit multifamily development in Plantation, FL. This is the newest addition to its portfolio in South Florida, which includes, among others, a Four Seasons Hotel, several apartment developments, and mixed-use developments.

The apartments will range from one to three-bedroom, and will feature modern amenities like stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops. Merrimac Plantation is located adjacent to Midtown Business District, offering residents a variety of retail, restaurants, and office spaces. Plantation is among one of South Florida’s most desirable suburban neighborhoods, and its business community has attracted big names like Motorola, Aetna, and others.

“Once completed, Merrimac Plantation will meet growing demand for market rate rental housing in Central Broward County, which is experiencing an influx of new residents drawn to the area’s accessible location, appealing quality of life, and proximity to several major employers,” said Nitin Motwani, managing partner.
