Meritage Homes to Build on Former Golf Course
Once upon a time, the American Dream was to have a house adjacent to a golf course, with the back yard pressing up against the 16th hole. However, Meritage Homes has plans to build its Spring Brook Village actually on a golf course, or rather, a former golf course. The home-builder struck a deal with MetroNational to acquire 116 acres that once held Pinecrest Golf Course on Houston’s west side.
Meritage anticipates lots to be ready in Q3 2018, with sales beginning in December 2018. Spring Brook Village will hold more than 800 houses,near Interstate 10 and Sam Houston Tollway.
On-site amenities will include walking trails and lakes, recreation centers and an infinity pool. Homeowners at Spring Brook Village will also be close to MetroNational’s massive Memorial City Mall.
