Indigo offering "front porch" in new Fort Bend mixed-use project

Meristem Communities Bringing “Front Porch” Living to Fort Bend County

Meristem Communities is calling its development, Indigo. The company is promoting its “front porch” living concept that will feature 650 homes, 100 rental units, a 25-acre lake, 42 acres of agriculture and a 70,000 square foot mixed use commercial development. They hope to launch later this year. Indigo will span 235 acres in Richmond, Texas about 30 minutes SW of Houston.

Meristem’s Clayton Garrett says, “We believe it’s the sum of a thousand small decisions that create a more engaging, more interesting, and more livable neighborhood.”

More than 50% of the community will be dedicated open space with linear pedestrian parks that connect neighbors to each other and the community core. Layered into the natural landscape, Indigo Commons will include a community gathering place with café market and event space (The Barn), plaza, promenade, farm, stage and more. They’ll stage the construction in three phases.
