Meridian’s Famularo Lines Up East Village Space for Stratis Morfogen
Meridian Retail Leasing arranged a long-term lease for Brooklyn Dumpling Shop at 131 First Ave. in the East Village. Brooklyn Dumpling Shop is the newest venture by Stratis Morfogen, the founder of hotspot Philippe Chow, and owner of popular eateries Jue Lan Club and Brooklyn Chop House.
James Famularo, Meridian president of New York retail leasing, represented the landlord. Meridian director Greg Goldberg represented both the landlord and the tenant.
131 First Ave. spans 492 square feet on the ground floor and 250 square feet on the lower level. The spin-off quick-service restaurant that will occupy the space will serve unique dumplings all day and late night, including cheeseburger dumplings, pastrami dumplings, French onion soup dumplings, and peanut butter and jelly dumplings.
