Meridian Completes Builds of Three Distribution Centers in Illinois

Meridian Design Build completed the construction of three automated package sorting and distribution facilities in Illinois. All three projects were constructed on a design-build basis to accommodate the operations of a leading provider of global shipping and information services.

A 317,518-square-foot building with 10,920 square feet of office space on a 36-acre site in Decatur, Illinois was constructed for Scannell Properties. The architectural design was provided by Cornerstone Architects, and civil engineering by Spaceco.

A 251,000-square-foot building includes 11,411 square feet of office space and was constructed for SunCap Property Group on a 50-acre site in Marion, Illinois. The facility’s architectural services came from Ware Malcomb, and civil engineering by Manhard Consulting.

A third 217,323 square-foot building with 10,500 square feet of office space was constructed for Jones Development on a 42-acre site in Danville, Illinois, The facility’s architectural services were provided by Ware Malcomb, and civil engineering by Farnsworth Group.
