Meridian Capital Names New CEO

Meridian Capital Group has announced the appointment of Brian Brooks as its new chairman and CEO, effective mid-April. Brooks, a former acting comptroller of the Currency, brings a wealth of experience from both the public and private sectors, including roles at Fannie Mae and O’Melveny.

He succeeds co-founder Ralph Herzka, who will transition to the role of founder and senior chairman, focusing on expanding relationships and driving revenue growth. Yoni Goodman will continue as president, working closely with Brooks to enhance Meridian’s broker model and expand its commercial real estate capabilities.

“As we look to institutionalize Meridian as a world-class company and further diversify our revenues, there is no better steward of our future than Brian. He is an outstanding and recognized leader in financial services, and I am excited to work with him to build on our firm’s foundation of unparalleled experience and market intelligence,” said Herzka.
