Meridian Buys 18-Acre New Mexico Site, Plans MOB

Walnut Creek, CA-based healthcare real estate firm Meridian has closed escrow on the purchase of an 18-acre parcel of land in Santa Fe, NM and will develop a 95,000-square-foot medical office building and cancer care center. The facility has just broken ground and is scheduled for completion in July 2024.

“This is Meridian’s first project in Santa Fe and we are very excited about the opportunity,” said Meridian’s new CEO Mike Conn. “Northern New Mexico is a growing demographic and we identified a need for affordable, outpatient healthcare services. Our mission is to provide greater access to care at a more affordable cost, and we look forward to building this facility for Santa Fe.”

Meridian has partnered with Nexus Health in the project which will consist of a three-story building housing 50 infusion bays, a lab and advanced imaging with interventional radiology. The outpatient facility is planned to include primary care, general surgery, cardiology and more.
