Merchants Capital Promotes Tax Credit Leads to EVPs

Merchants Capital promoted Julie Sharp and Linda Hill to EVPs. Sharp and Hill lead Carmel IN-based Merchants’ tax credit equity division and previously served as SVPs.

Since launching the division in late 2020, Sharp and Hill have overseen the creation of a robust equity platform. In its first full year, the team completed an equity raise of more than $248.3 million in both proprietary and multi-investor funds that will create or preserve more than 3,200 units in 13 states.

“Julie and Linda are two of the most talented professionals in the affordable housing industry and are even better leaders,” said Michael R. Dury, CEO of Merchants Capital. “These well-deserved promotions signal our company’s commitment to the tax credit equity space and our trust in Julie and Linda leading our equity division. In just over a year, they have built our equity division from the ground up into a national platform.”
