Mental Health Nonprofit Expands DTLA Offices

Amanecer Community Counseling Service has signed a long-term lease renewal and expansion totaling 29,227 square feet at 1200 Wilshire Blvd. in the City West neighborhood of Downtown Los Angeles. The mental health nonprofit will occupy two floors through 2030.

Colliers senior EVP Nathan Pellow and associate VP Michael Naoumovitch represented Amanecer. The owner, an affiliate of Sharp Capital, was represented by CBRE VP Taylor Watson and senior associate Paul Ayoob.

The lease marks a major milestone in Amanecer’s evolution under Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC), one of the nation’s largest Latino-led nonprofit organizations, according to Colliers. In 2024, Amanecer joined the CPLC network.

“Amanecer’s ability to grow and solidify its footprint downtown is a testament to their mission and the leadership of CPLC,” said Naoumovitch. “Securing nearly two entire floors ensures their long-term presence and reinforces their commitment to serving the community from a highly visible, accessible location in the urban core.”
