MediSys Buys Jamaica Office Property

In an acquisition exceeding $10 million, New York-based healthcare provider MediSys Health Network purchased a new 20,865 square feet, four-story office property at 143-02 Jamaica Avenue in Jamaica, Queens.

MediSys is a supporting organization to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center (JHMC) and Flushing Hospital Medical Center (FHMC). JHMC has expanded its lease at Utopia Center in Fresh Meadows, Queens, increasing the leased space by 7,500 square feet for a total of 33,000 square feet.

CBRE’s Joseph Fabrizi and Roy Chipkin arranged both transactions. “It’s a very desirable building and a strategic acquisition for the hospital, which originally was interested in leasing the entire building until our team quickly concluded it was much better for the hospital to own it,” said Fabrizi.
