Medical Innovator Taking 100K SF at Vestar SLC MXU

Recursion Pharmaceuticals plans to move its headquarters to The Gateway, Vestar’s 620,000-square-foot mixed-use shopping, dining and entertainment destination in Salt Lake City. The property is undergoing a $100 million redevelopment.

The medical tech and biotech innovator plans to relocate from its current location in Research Park, near the University of Utah, in Spring 2018. Recursion will take over 100,000 square feet and create lab and office space, which is more than seven times the size of its current campus.

One third of Recursion’s new footprint will be lab space, containing advanced robotics and a wet lab, with the rest designated as office and collaboration space. The larger facility will accommodate Recursion’s growing workforce focused on groundbreaking advances in biology and technology, and move it toward meeting a goal of finding 100 new disease treatments by 2025.

Cushman & Wakefield Dana Baird and Mike Richmond represented Vestar. Recursion was self-represented.
