Medical City Alliance to Open Ft. Worth Mental Health Hospital
Medical City Alliance, a subsidiary of HCA, plans to construct Medical City Mental Health Wellness Alliance, which would open in 2024 in Fort Worth. The proposed 65,000-square-foot hospital would feature 88 beds, an outdoor healing garden and courtyard space for physical activity to help provide inpatient and outpatient services for adolescents and adults for a wide range of conditions including depression, anxiety and bipolar disorders.
“Our desire is to create an environment that is welcoming and promotes healing,” said HCA’s Brandy Hart. “We believe that this facility will ensure more individuals are able to receive the mental services they need, close to home.”
Once permitted by the city of Fort Worth, the hospital will be built on I-35 West at the northern edge of the Medical City Alliance campus. The new hospital is part of a $1.1 billion capital improvement initiative across the Medical City Healthcare system.
