Medical Center in Charlotte Trades for $13M
Net lease brokerage firm Stan Johnson Company arranged the $13.6 million sale of a single-tenant medical center in Charlotte. Located at 8601 University E. Dr., the 52,000-square-foot facility is currently leased to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The facility provides primary care, behavioral health, and laboratory services for veterans in the Charlotte metro area.
Jeff Matulis and Toby Scrivner of Stan Johnson Company represented the seller, Pennsylvania-based Marr Development, in the transaction. Josh Beaver of the Nichols Company advised the buyer, a local Charlotte investor.
“The property has a short remaining lease term, with roughly five years remaining on the lease,” said Scrivner, senior director in Stan Johnson’s Tulsa office. “The 11-year history of operations by the VA at this location provided investors with confidence that this investment offered an attractive opportunity.”
