McShane Wraps Up GlenStar’s O’Hare Office Project

McShane Construction Company completed the O’Hare Office Building on behalf of developer GlenStar Properties. The 150,000-square-foot building was constructed on a 3.5-acre greenfield site in Chicago, near O’Hare International Airport.

“New suburban office construction in Chicagoland has been slow in recent years,” said McShane president Jeffrey Raday. “However, lately there has been a need for new office space in the expanding O’Hare submarket, so we’re pleased to provide our client with a brand new facility.”

The eight-story facility features 1,112 precast concrete panels. Throughout the entire construction process, McShane worked with neighboring properties to mobilize equipment and construction work, as well as with the Federal Aviation Administration to obtain permission to use the giant crane needed to hoist the precast panels into place.

The newly-built property is minutes from O’Hare, and approximately 15 miles from downtown Chicago. It also offers easy access to I-294 and I-90.

Connect Chicago Fall 2019 will take place Oct. 29 in Chicago. For more information, or to register, click here.
