MCR Does First Massachusetts Hotel Deal

New York City-based MCR acquired the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Boston Peabody in Peabody, MA. The property is MCR’s first in Massachusetts. The purchase price and seller were not disclosed.

Located at 43 Newberry St. within the heavily-trafficked corridor between U.S. Route 1 and I-95, the 164-suite SpringHill Suites Boston Peabody is convenient for those travelling into downtown Boston or the surrounding areas for events such as this April’s Boston Marathon. The property includes 5,500 square feet of flexible event space that can accommodate up to 250 people.

MCR is reportedly the fifth-largest hotel owner-operator in the U.S., with a $3-billion portfolio of 86 premium-branded hotels containing 15,000 guestrooms across 29 states and 76 cities.
