McKinstry Expands Suite of Holistic Energy Solutions
Seattle-based construction and energy services firm McKinstry is helping clients achieve climate and sustainability goals by expanding a suite of energy and facility services that now includes solar photovoltaics, distributed generation, battery storage systems, geothermal energy, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and more.
“Interest in decarbonization and renewables is flourishing as leaders across the country seek to establish bold, aggressive zero-carbon goals,” said Jeff Hughes, McKinstry’s director of renewable energy services. “We’re seeing opportunities to offer renewable energy options in nearly every market.”
McKinstry’s renewable energy team, which has grown from two to 20 professionals in the past three years, has successfully developed, built and maintained rooftop, canopy and ground-mounted solar and storage products for governments, schools and healthcare facilities. The company has also installed photovoltaics in Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena, targeted to be the first International Living Future Institute certified zero-carbon arena.
