McKinney's District 121 site for new boutique hotel

McKinney’s District 121 Site for Boutique Hotel

It’s not quite a sure thing, but getting close. Archstreet McKinney is looking to build an upscale, boutique 102-room hotel in the $250 million District 121 mixed-use project in McKinney. In addition to office space and a hotel, District 121 will offer retail, corporate and restaurant development. Public filings suggest the group will start construction August 1 of this year with the first guests expected October of 2024. The project is expected to cost over $11 million. The developers have not formally said if they have received funding yet.

The Hotel Denizen is slated to rise four stories with 50,000 square feet under roof. The hotel’s lobby will feature a bar with both indoor and outdoor/patio space and an elevated terrace overlooking the new park. There will be a fitness center, guest laundry facilities and a pantry or communal kitchen. District 121 will offer several walkable upscale dining options and meeting spaces.
