McKinney Cotton Mill Mixed-Use Project Gets Towns OK
The site plan for the Presidium Cotton Mill mixed-use development has received conditional approval from the City of McKinney. Targeting to break ground in mid-2024, the project aims to combine the North Dallas suburb’s history with urban design. The mill was established in 1910.
The project will span approximately 28 acres and will feature approximately 200,000 square feet of Class-A office space and over 1.2 million square feet for multifamily residences as well as a generous amount of open space.
The four multifamily buildings will bring approximately 1,200 apartment units within the next six years, ranging from five to seven stories in height. Residents will have an array of offerings, from a beach entry pool and grilling stations to state-of-the-art fitness centers, co-working spaces, game rooms, lounge areas and more. Additionally, the design includes 27 townhome-style lofts.
The benefits will include a projected total economic impact of $933 million and a tax revenue generation of $38 million for the City of McKinney.
