McHugh Construction Promotes SVP Alexander to Presidency

Chicago-based James McHugh Construction Co. recently named company veteran Dave Alexander as president. Alexander’s appointment followed the retirement of Bruce Lake, who served for 20 years as its president during a McHugh career spanning nearly four decades.

Alexander similarly has been with McHugh for his entire post-collegiate career. He began with the company as an intern, and has served as a project manager, chief estimator and, most recently, SVP.

“Dave is a true builder,” said Patty McHugh, chairman of McHugh. “Our clients have entrusted him with their most important projects for more than 30 years, and our team has grown stronger and more capable under his leadership.”
