McDonald’s Rolling Out Table Service
McDonald’s plans to roll out table service shortly in many of its U.S. locations. Customers will order from a kiosk, and their servers will bring food to them at tables. Following a drop in its customer base recently, the fast food behemoth hopes that this will spur a different experience and drive more sales.
The United Kingdom already has table service, but now the corporation is looking to expand this style of service in various markets, including: Boston, San Diego, Chicago, Seattle, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco. With 14,000 domestic locations, such a change could take years as franchisees would have to remodel and train employees to serve food.
Along with these changes aimed at increasing customer satisfaction and order accuracy, comes the introduction of a mobile order and pay option.
