McDermott International Leases 524K-SF Energy Center Five

McDermott International Inc. announced plans to consolidate five of its Houston-area offices into a new building.  The engineering and construction firm signed a 16-year lease to take space at Energy Center Five, an 18-story, 524,000-square-foot building at 915 N. Eldridge Pkwy. in the Energy Corridor submarket.

CBRE represented McDermott in negotiations with the landlord, TCH Energy Venture Corridor, consisting of Trammell Crow Co. and Principal Real Estate Investors. McDermott will be the first tenant in the building, which delivered  in 2016.

McDermott will begin working on the building in Q3 2019, and will gradually relocate its workforce — consisting of 1,700 employees — to the new location through the end of the year. The company merged with CB&I of The Woodlands in early 2018. McDermott’s David Dickson said a new headquarters had been top-of-mind since the CB&I merger.
