McCombs Properties pays $29.5M for 5.9 acre San Antonio infill property

McCombs Properties Buys Downtown San Antonio CPS Energy Parcel

The San Antonio McCombs family has purchased a 5.9 acre infill, Downtown San Antonio property for $29.5 million. The site was at one time believed to be a prospective site of a baseball stadium for the San Antonio Missions along with six other sites. At the moment McCombs Properties is keeping their plans for the property under wraps.

McComb Properties Managing Partner Harry Adams IV says whatever they do will have to live up to Red McCombs’ vision and love for San Antonio while allowing them time to really build out that concept, whatever that will be. Adams added, “It is a special piece of land and what we do with it is going to be another realization of Red’s legacy for the city of San Antonio.”

Red McCombs was a prominent car dealer in San Antonio, but also was an investor/owner of Clear Channel Communications and owned the the San Antonio Spurs, Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Vikings sports teams.
