MBK JV Acquires 4.3 Acres for 344-Unit TOD
Irvine, CA-based MBK Rental Living and partner Haseko Corp. have acquired a 4.3-acre site in Duarte, CA, slated for development of a 344-unit transit-oriented apartment community, adjacent to the City of Hope Metro Gold Line Station.
Construction, which will include a six-story parking structure, is scheduled to start late this year, with occupancy slated for mid-2023.
The site offers convenient access to Pasadena and downtown L.A. to the west and the Inland Empire to the east, via train and near immediate access to the 210 freeway. The location is also close to historic Route 66 and the towns of Monrovia and Bradbury.
According to MBK’s President Craig Jones. “Adjacency to transportation options, including the L.A. Metro Rail and the I-210 and I-605 interchange between Pasadena and the Inland Empire, enhances the lifestyle and convenience this rental community will offer to a diverse range of renters.”
